Say bye to ‘more for more’.

The concept of “more for more” was an innovative idea that helped to improve the user experience in the telecom field. It allowed operators of telephone, TV and Internet to offer better conditions to users despite the rate increase. In other words, the quality of users’ services increase with the price increase, like a higher connection speed, more TV channels, more mobile data or a faster optical fibre connection.

That concept was practically ‘squeezed’ with prior increases and, given the current situation with unlimited data so widespread, fibre speeds already at 1 Gb, on-demand and very flexible TV packages and gifts for permanence, applying improvements is increasingly complicated. So, since they cannot offer added value, Movistar will not have improvements in services in return for the next price increase.

Telefónica new adjustment plan.

With the purpose of facing the challenges of the current global context of cost increases and extreme competitiveness, Telefónica has announced a new and recent adjustment plan, which has already been communicated to its top executives in different areas.

Basically, the new plan consists of renegotiating contracts with providers, renegotiating wages, and they do not discard punctual leavings of employees. Concerning this last point, Telefónica informs that under no circumstances will there be a massive leaving plan as the one recently undertaken.
