Vodafone proposals to get EUR 900 million from the EU funds

Concerning these funds, Vodafone has already submitted different proposals and initiatives to the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge and several regional governments for a total of EUR 900 million.
Teleassistance, smart tourism and the agrifood industry.
Vodafone has submitted before the regional governments their plans to promote teleassistance and smart tourism, encourage the digitalisation of institutions and companies and develop more initiatives in the agrifood and logistic industry, which amounts to EUR 760 million.
Demographic challenges and industrial competitiveness.
Vodafone has exposed projects for an amount of EUR 130 million before the Ministries of Industry, Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, and Economy consisting in solutions for digitalisation, demographic challenges, industrial competitiveness or 5G in rural areas.
Concretely, regarding the depopulation and the digital breach in Spanish rural areas, they have submitted different projects to cover pending issues such as digital connectivity in towns with less than 5000 inhabitants and to improve productivity in the agricultural sector. They have also submitted a project to the Ministry of Economy for the deployment of 5G to accelerate its deployment and generalisation.
