Roaming limitations.
For example, one of the limitations that affect the data side is that we cannot use 100% of the data included in our tariff abroad. Data rates have been decreasing over time due to a wider choice and improved technologies. In this sense, Movistar and O2 have updated the conditions of their roaming rates.
Prices established by the EU.
The European Union has been progressively setting prices per GB since 2017 when they set prices at a maximum of 7.7 Euro per gigabyte. After that, they moved to 6 Euro per GB on 1 January 2018, 4.5 Euro per GB on 1 January 2019, 3.5 Euro per GB on 1 January 2020, and finally to 3 Euro per GB on 1 January 2021, all prices excluding VAT.
