This post is about ...
Why will Movistar increase prices?
Movistar’s decision is due, in part, to the increase in the cost of energy, transportation, raw materials and network equipment, among others, and also to the need to adapt its rates to inflation.

Say bye to ‘more for more’.
The concept of “more for more” was an innovative idea that helped to improve the user experience in the telecom field. It allowed operators of telephone, TV and Internet to offer better conditions to users despite the rate increase. In other words, the quality of users’ services increase with the price increase, like a higher connection speed, more TV channels, more mobile data or a faster optical fibre connection.
That concept was practically ‘squeezed’ with prior increases and, given the current situation with unlimited data so widespread, fibre speeds already at 1 Gb, on-demand and very flexible TV packages and gifts for permanence, applying improvements is increasingly complicated. So, since they cannot offer added value, Movistar will not have improvements in services in return for the next price increase.
